Going Deeper: Sex Ed Was Just The Beginning
I’m Dr. Sue Milstein—a sexologist, public health educator, author, and someone who has spent a whole lot of time talking about the things we’re often told not to talk about.
Because honestly? Sex ed was never the end of the story. It was barely the beginning.
Our bodies, our relationships, our health, our pleasure, our identities, and the ways we connect with other people are a lot more complicated than anything we learned in health class. And sometimes the questions we have as adults are the questions nobody ever taught us how to ask.
That’s what we’re doing here.
Each week, we’re going deeper into sex, health, relationships, and all the wonderfully messy stuff that makes us human. We’ll talk about the science, the awkward stuff, the things nobody wants to say out loud—and sometimes the things we thought we were the only ones wondering about.
We’ll question what we think we know, dig into the complicated stuff, and ask the questions that make you wonder, “Wait…why does nobody talk about this?
Because sex ed was just the beginning.
