Why Do My Balls Hang So Low
Balls naturally hang low.
Balls do a couple of things, one of which is to produce sperm. Sperm are produced in the testes, and for sperm production to take place the balls need to be at a temperature lower than normal body temperature.
You may notice that they move as the temperature changes. When it’s cold they’ll be closer to the body, when it’s warm they’re usually lower and further from the body. This is because they want to stay in the 95 degree range.
Excitement and fear can also cause the balls to move. This is because of muscles located in the scrotum.
A question for you - how old are you?
If you’re older, think 60 and up, the skin naturally becomes less elastic as we age. This, combined with slightly weaker muscles in the scrotum, can cause your balls to be lower than they used to be.
My real follow up question is this: is there any pain, or new lumps? If so, definitely follow up with your health care provider. If not, then I wouldn’t worry about it!
Until next time, be safe and have fun!
