Is It Good To Have Sex Every Day?

It can be good if you’re enjoying it!

If you’re not, then that’s a whole different story.

People will sometimes have sex every day with their partner because they feel pressured to. The idea that someone is pressuring a person into having sex is a problem for me.

Now, don’t get this confused with someone deciding to have sex with a partner when they’re kind of take it or leave it. For some people, they may just not be in the mood for sex at that moment. It’s not that they’re opposed to it, they’re just not into it. I hear this a lot in couples where their sex drives are at different levels.

And for some people, starting to engage in sex play can make them more aroused. This is especially true for those who are more responsive desire type people.

But that’s different from pressuring someone to have sex when they don’t want to.

So if you’re having sex every day because you’re being pressured into doing so, then that’s not good and I would encourage you to have a chat with your partner if you feel safe doing so.

But if you’re doing it willingly, and enjoying it, then that’s great! Sex can cause our bodies to release hormones that can help make us feel better. Orgasm can release endorphins which can help with pain. Some people find that it helps them to reduce stress, or to sleep better. Some people enjoy it because it makes them feel more connected with a partner. There are a lot of health benefits to having sex, so doing it every day can be a good thing.

For those of you who are reading this thinking it’s been a while, and possibly a really long while, since you last had sex, don’t feel pressure. Some of the benefits of sex you can also get through orgasm through masturbation.

There a few concerns about having sex every day. The first is feeling pressured to do so, but I feel like I’ve already covered this.

Daily sex can lead to some swelling in the genitals, and possible issues with friction. I would recommend you have a lube that works with whatever types of sex play you’re doing for the friction and possible irritation. If there’s swelling and it’s uncomfortable, maybe take a day off. Or change the type of sex play you’re engaging in for a few days to give those body parts a rest.

Until next time, be safe and have fun!
