Do All Men Try Cock Sucking At Least Once?
While I can't give you an exact number on this, I can absolutely say that it's not all men.
There are some men who have zero interest in doing this - ever. And so they never try it.
There may be some men who are interested in it, but don't actually try it. This might be because they worry that if they do it once, then that means they’re gay. And that may scare them because of either internalized homophobia, or societal homophobia, or both.
And this is a good place to address the orientation issue. An action doesn’t make an orientation. And an orientation doesn’t always predict behavior. Let me explain this a little more.
Your orientation is who you’re attracted to. This attraction is usually either romantic and/or sexual. Common orientations people have heard of are homosexual, heterosexual, and bisexual.
Homosexual, or gay, is when you’re attracted to someone of the same gender as you. So if you’re a gay man, then you’re attracted to other men.
Heterosexual, or straight, is when you’re attracted to someone of a different gender than you. So if you’re a straight man, then you’re attracted to women.
Bisexual, or bi, is when you’re attracted to someone of either gender. So if you’re a bisexual man, then you’re attracted to both men and women.
The problem with these three labels is that they’re based on the idea of a binary gender system. Meaning you’re either male or female. We know that nature presents us with way more variety than that, but I’m going to pivot back to the original question. And not go further down the gender/orientation rabbit hole. If you have questions about other genders or orientations, just ask!
If you go back and reread the definitions of orientations, you’ll see that it talks about attraction and not behavior.
You can identify as a straight man and never engage in sex play with a woman. You can also identify as a straight man and engage in sex play with other men.
And this is why it’s hard to give an exact number of how many men have ever sucked another’s man’s cock.
I can tell you that in a study released last year, 2% of American men identified as gay, and 2% identified as bisexual. But that doesn’t mean that they’ve ever performed oral sex on another man.
When it comes to finding out how many men who identify as straight have ever performed oral sex on another man, that’s where it gets tricky. Surveys don’t always ask the question that directly. There was one study that asked if you had ever engaged in either oral or anal with someone of the same gender. That question is too broad to provide an answer to the question you asked.
What we do see repeatedly in studies is that more men respond that they have engaged in sex play with someone of the same gender, then identify as gay or bi.
Let me give you just one example. There was a study a few years ago that found that 1 in 8 men had engaged in some kind of sex play with other men. That’s 12.5%, which is way more than the 4% of men who identify as gay or bi.
But let me get back to your question. No, not every man has sucked another man’s cock.
Now I want to ask you a question – why are you asking? If someone is trying to pressure you into doing this by saying all men do it, then that’s not true. And it’s not okay. Someone shouldn’t be pressuring you into doing anything you don’t want to do.
If you’re interested in doing it and were hoping that I would say all men do it so you could feel more secure in your desires, that’s another thing. While I can definitely say that not all men do it, I can also say that the number of men is probably higher than most people think.
And there are probably a lot of other men who think about it and never do it.
Until next time, be safe, and have fun!
