Is It Possible To Have Sex With Someone Numerous Times Without Developing Feelings?

Absolutely it’s possible!

While some people think of sex as a way of bonding with another person, not every does.

The truth is that people have sex for lots of different reasons.

Sometimes it’s about the person we’re having sex with. Maybe we want to feel closer to them. Or maybe we use sex as a way of showing them that they’re loved and wanted.

Sometimes people have sex and it has nothing to do with the person they’re having sex with. Maybe they’re horny, or bored. Maybe they want to feel as if they’re desirable and that someone wants to be with them. Sex can help people feel that way.

The problem is that we don’t always know why we’re having sex with someone else.

Sure, sometimes it’s clear. You may really care about your partner and you decide that sex is a great way to feel bonded.

Or maybe you’re really horny and you want to get off, but you’d rather have a partner than masturbate.

But sometimes we don’t always know why we want to have sex with someone. Maybe you feel that you partner is losing interest in you, or you just don’t feel as connected, and so you have sex with them. You might not have the conscious thought at that point of “I feel distant from my partner, so I will have sex with them to feel more connected.” You just know you want to connect.

So many times when we have sex the thinking part of our brain seems to just shut down a bit.

My question to you would be this – which side of the sex without feelings are you on, and are you okay with that?

This may be one of those times when communication is helpful. If you and the person you’re having sex with are both on board with sex with no feelings, then all should be good. But if one of you is hoping the other will catch feelings than that can be a problem.
