Is It Good For Sleep To Beat Your Meat Before Bed?
The problem here is that there’s no real definitive answer. We haven’t done a lot of studies on this, and people react differently to masturbating.
When we orgasm, our bodies produce a number of hormones, including serotonin and oxytocin. These hormones make us feel good and they make us feel relaxed. They also cause us to produce less cortisol. Cortisol is one of the hormones that our bodies release when we’re stressed.
So if the goal is to help feel relaxed afterwards, then masturbation may absolutely be good before bed.
But not everyone feels relaxed after they masturbate. For some people, masturbation makes them feel more aroused. This means that if your goal is to masturbate to help you relax and fall sleep it may do the opposite.
If you’re stressed about something and thinking about it is stopping you from being able to sleep, then masturbating can be a good distraction. But it won’t make the something you’re stressed about disappear.
If you feel guilty about masturbating it may be very difficult to fall asleep after you’re done.
So the answer of whether or not it’s good for sleep really depends on you.
If you find it doesn’t help you settle down and relax, or you find yourself even more awake when you’re done, than you may want to masturbate earlier in the day.
If you find that masturbating before sleep helps you sleep better, than go for it.
