Is There Any Disease That Makes A Penis Smaller? I Notice That Mine Is Getting Smaller And Smaller Every Day! I Am Really Depressed About It.
While I’d like to start by saying something about how size doesn’t matter, it obviously matters to you.
There are a few things that can make your penis shrink, but not all of them are diseases. And the good news is that some of them are reversible!
Let’s start with some of the easier ones to deal with.
Are you a smoker? That might contribute to penis shrinkage.
Dehydration may also be the cause. Being dehydrated can impact people of all sexes. If you have a penis it can lead to shrinkage, and it can also make it harder to get an erection since there’s a decrease in blood volume. If you have a vagina, it can be harder to get wet. This can make vaginal sex more painful. If you want to learn more about dehydration and sex, check out this article
Being obese can lead to penis shrinkage. So can being diabetic.
You mentioned you were depressed about the penis shrinkage. Are you depressed in general? Anxious? Both of those may be linked to shrinkage, and here’s where it gets a little more complicated. The medications that are often prescribed for depression and anxiety may also cause shrinkage and can tank your sex drive.
My general rule of thumb for people is if you start a new medication and notice any kind of change, definitely talk to your doctor about it.
If you had prostate surgery you might see penis shrinkage, though I would hope your doctor would have talked to you about that both before and after the surgery.
Another things that may cause shrinkage is Peyronie’s disease. This is caused by a buildup of scar tissue in the penis.
With all these causes it can be hard to figure out exactly what is causing your penis shrinkage. If you haven’t already done so, talk to your doctor or another health care professional about it. It might be awkward but it’s worth it to get answers.
Until next time be safe and have fun!
