Will Girls Find It Weird That I Only Have One Testicle?
Honestly, some might.
When we talk about external male sexual anatomy, we talk about a penis and two testicles. And there’s not usually a lot of conversation about the fact that a man may be missing one or both testicles.
I don’t know your background and why you have one testicle, but people may have to have a testicle removed for many reasons. Trauma to the testicles could result in one or both being removed. Sometimes it’s removed due to an infection.
One or both testicles may be removed because of cancer.
And some men are just born with one testicle.
Depending on what kinds of sex play you’re engaging in, it may be something that a partner notices. This is because the side of your scrotum where there is no testicle may appear flat.
For those who had to have a testicle removed there may be a period where they notice a decline in their sex drive. But oftentimes that’s temporary. So in terms of functioning, a partner will probably not notice.
The question I would ask you is how do you feel about it? Our body image can have a huge impact on not only how we feel about ourselves, but also how we interact with our partners. So if you feel embarrassed or ashamed, than that will often come across to your partner.
The decision about when to tell someone that you only have one testicle is up to you. If you feel comfortable having a conversation with them before they come in contact with your genitals, then that can give you a chance to explain the situation. It also gives your partner the opportunity to ask questions if they have any.
If you don’t tell them ahead of time, and they notice it during sex play, that can be a bit a weird for them, especially if they’ve never seen anything like it before.
Until next time, be safe and have fun!
