I'm going to be honest, I don't really know what you mean by “safe” here.

Because when I think of safe and sex play, I think of things like, is this being done voluntarily. Are people protecting themselves from STIs? Are they protecting themselves from a possible pregnancy if that’s not a wanted outcome? If this is some kind of kink or rough sex, are steps being taken to make sure everyone stays as safe as possible.

So from a physical safety perspective I would say as long as this is voluntary, and you’re using a condom that this is pretty high on the safer-sex scale. But remember that condoms are not 100% effective at preventing the transmission of STIs. This is true for any kind of sexual activity, so it’s not 100% safe.

The question I have here is whether or not your spouse knows that this is happening. Because if it’s safe for your marriage is a whole different thing.

If doing things with people outside of the marriage is not something you two have agreed on, then this can cause some problems. And if they find out, then you’ll have to deal with the betrayal they feel because you cheated. And that could be the end of the relationship. And while I don't judge that on a safety scale, it may not be great on a quality of life scale for you.

I don’t know the gender of the person you’re married to. But that could have an impact on whether or not your marriage can survive you being with another man.

It’s really about what the two of you have agreed is acceptable behavior outside of the marriage, if anything.
